LIFT at Sound View Camp
LIFT 2024 is a 6 day, 5 night long camp experience for teens that allows them to unplug and be truly disconnected from the world around them, while enjoying the beauty of Sound View Camp. For most of a week students will be surrounded by friends, fun, and a caring, supporting staff who want to see the lives of these teens changed for Christ. Sound View Camp is a historic camp that we have enjoyed now 30 years.
Due to differences in mission and overall goals, this may be our last year at Sound View. Only the Lord knows the future on this, but as Sound View's mission moves more towards smaller, intimate groups for the purpose of education, our mission for camps remains to reach large groups with the gospel, and sometimes that means we get loud. Sound View staff have been wonderful to us to meet our needs. While it is very possible that we could be back at Sound View in 2025, our aim is to find an alternative.
Sound View is a very old-school camp. There is a waterfront with a pier, kayaks, and other boats that will be available to students, as well as trails and sports fields, an art studio, and a whole wall of ukeleles. The cost of camp is $280 per student, and there are scholarships available, thanks to the generosity of our church members.
The whole week they will participate in activities, games, contests, and other opportunities to get to know their leaders and fellow campers. You have my absolute word that I will stop at nothing to keep your kid(s) safe, comfortable, and cared for while at camp. I have directed camps and retreats for 10 years now, and our leadership teams have always gone above and beyond for the safety of our kids.
